Our park is only a stones throw from the beach from the stunning beach at Crimdon Dene. There is a Nature walk adjacent to this Park leading down to the beach. To the southwest of the Park is the dene which has an abundance of wildlife e.g. foxes, roe deeer, badgers, pheasants and more, not to forget the variety of different birds. To the north there is open countryside There is a bus stop right outside the park, with a service running every 20 minutes.

The sandy, deserted beaches of the Durham Heritage Coast are yours to enjoy at Crimdon Dene; perfect for long walks, quiet moments and lots of traditional seaside fun with the kids. But the adventures don't end there, you'll find a huge choice of attractions nearby.

Hartlepool's Maritime Experience

Hartlepool is 4 miles away. Visit the Maritime Experience, a living recreation of a Napoleonic seaport, and board Britain's oldest floating warship, the HMS Trincomalee. Or for greater thrills on the water, visit Tees Barrage International White Water Centre, to traverse rapids and enjoy all types of water sports. Enchanting Durham is just 15 miles away.
